The Shore on 'Last Call With Carson Daly'

The Shore emerged from L.A.'s Silverlake district in 2002, sporting a vintage mix of West Coast psychedelic pop influenced by the many sounds of the 60s and 70s, from The Beach Boys to Buffalo Springfield.

After their debut E.P. and self-titled album were released on Maverick Records to critical acclaim, singer-songwriter Ben Ashley once again enlisted producer Rick Parker (The Dandy Warhols, Beachwood Sparks) for the band's long-awaited follow-up album, Light Years.

Described by Johnny Loftus @ All Music as "entirely expansive and engaging, and as hazily gorgeous as its predecessor," Light Years double lp is due out September 20th, 2011 on The New Black Records.
